Hello David,
The updated book cover looks spectacular! Not only eye-catching and evocative, but it captures the absurd-existential tone of the book. Brenda Whiteway, the artist of Island Tides (watercolour on paper), is pleased by the way her artwork is shown on the book cover. And I am most pleased to have the artistic intersection in Absurdity, Woe Is Me, Glory Be of my writing and Brenda's painting. Working with you and Guernica Editions on this poetry collection was an uplifting creative experience.

The book arrived, David. Very nice to hold and beautiful to the eye. The palette of colours is striking. Beautiful design and lay-out all around. Great work. I think it will beckon people to pick it up and peruse the pages.
Thanks for being open to incorporate my design suggestions and for utilizing the visual art supplied. Much appreciated.

I loved working with David on my book. He was collaborative from the start and professional to the finish. But what makes him special is how much he truly cares about the details and "getting it right." I highly recommend him for designing book covers or anything else.

David did an amazing job in an impossibly short time frame. It's hard to say which was better - his creative designs or the ease of working with him. Both were perfect! Both Rich and I appreciate everything you've done and look forward to working with you on the next project.

Firstly, I want to say how thrilled I am with the book cover. I absolutely love it. The use of yellow and white with the title is inspired. The choice and positioning of the flower – those stamens/pistils, those radiating yellow petals - captures the content of the book oh-so-well. It’s clean, simple and strong. David did a superb job. I couldn’t be happier.

Working with David Moratto on the design of my book has been a supreme pleasure! The book was a labor of love for me. It is a biography of a 19th century relative whose story had been lost - with a lot of complicated parts: chapters and sub-chapters, historic photos, maps, hundreds of end notes, a lengthy bibliography and a pastiche of side stories, all wanting to be told. David’s suggestions from the get-go added immeasurably to the story’s visual appeal. David quickly grasped the 19th century feeling that I wanted for the book and created a visual language to reflect it, and did it beautifully! Then, he miraculously organized and pulled together all the disparate pieces into a coherent whole. David was available throughout the process, and he was respectfully responsive to my worries as a first-time author/publisher. And all this by e-mail and phone from a few thousand miles away! I am more than delighted to be among his very happy clients.
